CNC Machining for Robotics and Semiconductor Automation

Machinable Innovations supports robotics, motion systems, semiconductor automation, and advanced equipment with CNC milling, Y-axis mill-turn production, engineering support, and in-house inspection.

Components Built Around Function

Automation components often combine tight feature relationships, moving interfaces, bearings, sensors, fasteners, and assembly constraints. We review how the part functions in the larger system so the manufacturing plan protects the dimensions and surfaces that actually control performance.

  • Shafts, rollers, pins, spacers, retainers, and adapters
  • Brackets, plates, housings, fixtures, and tooling
  • Components with turned, milled, drilled, tapped, and cross-hole features
  • Prototype mechanisms and development assemblies
  • Recurring production part families

Mill-Turn for Complex Rotational Components

The DN Solutions Lynx 2100LSYB combines Y-axis milling, live tooling, subspindle transfer, parts catching, and LNS bar feeding. That makes mill-turn machining a strong fit for robotic shafts, rollers, instrument components, and other parts that need consistent turned and milled relationships.

CNC Milling for Automation Hardware

The DN Solutions SVM 4100 supports CNC milling for precision plates, brackets, fixtures, tooling, housings, panels, and development components. A 12,000 rpm spindle and high-pressure through-spindle coolant support stable drilling and milling processes.

DFM and Cost Reduction

Cost is often driven by setups, tool access, tolerance stackups, inspection time, material condition, and outside processing rather than raw cycle time alone. We identify changes that can consolidate operations, simplify workholding, make inspection practical, and preserve function. For repeat work, fixtures, common tooling, bar feed, and process documentation are developed around the expected volume.

Inspection and Repeatability

In-house inspection includes the FARO Gage Plus, Nikon C6, Micro-Radian E3, 3D scanning, and laser interferometry. Inspection points and documentation are matched to the print, assembly function, quantity, and customer requirements.

Robotics and Semiconductor Machining FAQs

Can you help reduce the cost of an existing part?

Yes. Send the current print, model, quantity, known problems, and target. We can review the design and routing for unnecessary setups, difficult features, inspection burden, and production opportunities.

Can you support both development and recurring production?

Yes. The shop supports early prototypes, process development, short runs, and recurring production. The production method is planned around expected volume rather than treating every quantity the same.

Do you assemble components?

Assembly support is considered when it improves the delivered result. Send the bill of materials, assembly requirements, inspection criteria, and expected quantity for review.
