Precision CNC Milling in Bend, Oregon
Machinable Innovations provides CNC milling for prototypes, fixtures, tooling, close-tolerance components, short production runs, and repeat work. Projects are reviewed directly by the people responsible for machining and inspection.
DN Solutions SVM 4100 Vertical Machining
Our DN Solutions SVM 4100 is equipped with a 12,000 rpm spindle and high-pressure coolant delivered through the spindle. That combination supports productive drilling, reliable chip evacuation, and stable milling processes across a range of component geometries and materials.
- Prototype and development components
- Fixtures, tooling, plates, brackets, housings, and panels
- Close-tolerance features and controlled hole patterns
- Short runs and recurring production
- Secondary milling for turned components and assemblies
Manufacturability Before Machine Time
A good milling process starts before the first setup. We review datum strategy, workholding, tool access, tolerance relationships, material condition, finish requirements, inspection needs, and outside processing before committing to a manufacturing plan. When a print or model creates unnecessary cost or risk, we explain why and suggest a practical alternative.
Prototype Through Repeat Production
The same shop can support an early model, a first functional prototype, process refinement, and recurring production. That continuity helps preserve what was learned during development instead of forcing the production supplier to rediscover it. CAD/CAM, DFM, fixture design, reverse engineering, and manual support machining are available when the project needs them.
Inspection and Documentation
Inspection is planned around the features that control function. In-house equipment includes a FARO Gage Plus, Nikon C6, Micro-Radian E3, 3D scanning, and laser interferometry. Certificates of Conformance, material and process certifications, inspection reports, and customer-specific documentation are reviewed at quote so the required records are built into the job.
Industries We Support
CNC milling work supports aerospace and defense, robotics and semiconductor automation, product development, and advanced industrial applications. Projects range from difficult one-off components to recurring families of parts.
CNC Milling FAQs
Can you help before the drawing is complete?
Yes. Send the current model, sketch, sample, or functional requirement. We can help with CAD, DFM, prototyping, reverse engineering, fixtures, and process planning.
Do you handle both prototypes and production?
Yes. The shop supports individual development parts, short runs, and repeat production. Quantity, delivery, inspection, and outside-processing requirements are reviewed before quoting.
What should I send for a quote?
Send a dimensioned drawing or PDF, STEP model when available, material specification and condition, quantity, finish requirements, inspection and certification needs, and the target delivery date.
